Ralph Winston Taul, 64, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, December 10, 2020 at St. Joseph East Hospital in Lexington, surrounded by all of his children. He was born April 6, 1956 to the late Henry Chester Taul and Mary Williams Taul.
Ralph was a Mt. Sterling native and active member of the Keas Tabernacle C.M.E. Church. He enjoyed UK basketball, detailing cars, collecting model cars and race car sets, watching westerns and fishing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; two sons, Derek Taul of Mt. Sterling and Christian Thompson (Angel) of Lexington; three daughters; Nikki Young (Robert) of Dacula, Georgia, Dr. Toetta Taul of Louisville and Breona Taul of Georgetown; six grandchildren; Keenan Kelley, Ian Kelley, Jaleisa Mitchell (Tory), Bailey Durham, Xavier Taul and Kennedy Taul; five great grandchildren; Adonnis Mitchell, Astara Mitchell, Amon Mitchell, Kai Kelley and Ira Kelley; three brothers; Ronald Taul of Mt. Sterling, David Taul (Yvonne) of Mt. Sterling and James D. Taul (Virginia) of Mt. Sterling; one sister; Barbara Gatewood of Mt. Sterling. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his brother John "Sookie" Taul.
Funeral will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 1:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 11:00AM-1:00PM. Both will be at the Keas Tabernacle C.M.E. Church in Mt. Sterling. Committal will follow funeral service at Olive Hill Cemetery in Mt. Sterling.
Pallbearers: James Taul, Danny Jointer, Troy Darnell, Tim Anderson, Eddie Campbell and Lee Clemons.
Honorary Pallbearers: Roy Pleasant and Bill Mynhier.
Per family request, those that are not immediate family are asked to move through the visitation line and exit the church until the time of the funeral service. Guidelines of fifty percent of the churches capacity will be observed during the funeral service. Friends and family may also be received during the committal service at Olive Hill Cemetery, following the funeral. Thank you for your understanding.
