Ramona Joyce DeMont Hiles, 85, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, November 23, 2015 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. She was born December 7, 1929 in Nicholasville to the late Albert and Hazel Baxter DeMont.
Ramona moved to Montgomery County five months ago from Lexington to be with her family, she was a professional seamstress and owned Ramona's Slip Covering on Stone Road in Lexington for fifty years, she also was a cook at Glendover Elementary School and a member and a Sunday school teacher at Gardenside Baptist Church. Ramona had a sweet and giving personality, in her free time she enjoyed working in her flower and rock gardens. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Robert Hiles (Dexia) of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren, Thomas Saunders (Jaime) of Winchester and Jesse Hiles (Shanna Simonds) of Mt. Sterling; three great grandchildren, Weston Saunders, Wayland Saunders, both of Winchester and Amy Manning of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Hiles, Jr. and her son, Roger Hiles.
