Retha Lee Hasty

February 26, 1933 — March 5, 2012

Retha Lee Hasty, 79, of Jeffersonville, died Monday evening, March 5, 2012 at St. Joseph-Mt. Sterling Hospital. She was born February 26, 1933 in Montgomery County, Kentucky to the late L.K. and Nettie Wyatt.

Retha was a Montgomery County native; she lived in Ohio for forty-five years and returned back to Montgomery County seventeen years ago, when she returned she was employed at Wal-Mart for six years. Retha really enjoyed sewing, cooking, fishing, photography, gardening, canning and animals. Her favorite joy was her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her husband. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include; her husband of sixty years, Walker Hasty of Jeffersonville; three sons, William R. Hasty of Jeffersonville, Jeff W. Hasty (Debbie) of Mt. Sterling and Scotty L. Hasty (Dana) of Middletown, Ohio; five daughters, Charlotte Agee-Huggins (Dick) of Carlisle, Ohio, Linda S. Abney (Timothy) of Cleveland, Tennessee, Lisa D. Zimmerman (Steve) of Middletown, Ohio, Sherrie J. Duff (Daniel) of Middletown, Ohio and Denetta K. Reidel (Jeff) of Middletown, Ohio; one twin sister, Lela Poynter of Mt. Sterling and eighteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Julia Williamson.

Funeral Service will be Friday, March 9, 2012 at 11:00 AM and Visitation will be Thursday, March 8, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, services will be at the Camargo Church of God with burial following at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Gary Mathis will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be, Kirk Van Guelpen, Michael Murray, Robert Murray, Kevin Hasty, Daniel Hasty, Jeffery Hasty and Justin Hasty.
