Richard Wayne Anderson, a cherished husband, and dedicated veteran, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, at Georgetown Community Hospital, at the age of 57. He was born on November 1, 1967, in Indiana and lived a life full of passion, service, and creativity.
Richard proudly served his country as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, where he was deployed during three wars: Desert Shield, Desert Storm, and the Iraq War. His commitment to his country and his comrades exemplified his character, and he remained a steadfast supporter of his fellow veterans throughout his life.
In his professional life, Richard worked as a Lineman Technician for AT&T, where his technical skills and dedication were highly valued. Despite his busy career, he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly his love for riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, honing his musical talents as he played bass and drums in a band with his beloved wife, Jennifer, who captivated audiences with her vocals. Together, they shared a deep bond through music and enjoyed many memorable nights filled with laughter and harmony.
A proud fan of UK basketball, Richard was known for his spirited conversations about the game, and he cherished evenings spent shooting pool with friends. He was also a passionate gun collector and an astrology buff, often finding solace in the stars as he gazed through his telescope, contemplating the mysteries of the universe.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Anderson; stepsons, Daniel Clay Coomer, and Jonah Scott Coomer (Andrea); siblings, Jerri Dee Chism (Fred, and James Anderson (Deborah).
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, James A. and Edeth Weiland Anderson; siblings, Roberta Holland, Kathleen Seale, Patricia Roland, and Kenneth Anderson.
