Rita Faye Smyth

Rita Faye Smyth, 63, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, Dec. 9, 2019 in Montgomery County.

Born Oct. 4, 1956, in Martin, she was the daughter of the late Harold Jones and Gladys Prater Clem.  She was a healthcare worker.

Survivors include a granddaughter, Megan Nicole Owens of Mt. Sterling; three grandsons, Nathan Tyler Lowe of Mt. Sterling, James Anthony Owens and Jacob Wayne Owens, both of Garrett; a sister, Betty J. Lowe of Mt. Sterling; a brother, Frank Jones of Mt. Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.

In Addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Wayne Owens, a daughter, Kristy Renee Owens; two brothers, Mark Jones and James "Jimmy" Jones; and a sister Judy C. Hicks.
