Robert "Baby Brother" Grove

Robert "Baby Brother" Groves, Jr., 56, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday morning, April 7, 2012 at Owingsville Manor. He was born December 18, 1955 in Mt. Sterling, to the late Robert Sr. and Ollie Groves.

Robert was a Montgomery County native and he served in the Army Reserves. He previously worked at A.O. Smith and attended at KEAS Tabernacle CME Church. Robert had a huge personality and knew everyone; he really enjoyed UK basketball and football, hunting, fishing, music and dancing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include; one daughter, Elisa Garrett (Harry Guest) of Mt. Sterling; one brother, James Groves (Brenda) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Daisy Jouett (Charles) of Mt. Sterling and Arlene Groves of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren, Trevon Garrett of Mt. Sterling and unborn, Diamond Lashae Guest; one aunt, Ella Gay (Reese) of Mt. Sterling; two special friends, Karen Owens of Mt. Sterling and Vinson Mason of Mt. Sterling and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Groves.

Funeral is Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 7:30PM. Visitation is Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 5:00 PM to 7:30PM. Services will be at High Street Christian Church. Pastor Darrell Hayden and Pastor Vincent Farris will be officiating.
