Robert Wayne Thompson, 43, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday morning, August 26, 2012, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born January 5, 1969 in Mt. Sterling to Larry Thompson and Betty Taylor.

Robert was a Montgomery County native, and an employee of Little Ceasars Pizza. Robert, who was known for his outgoing personality and his love for animals, loved fishing, watching wrestling, but most of all he loved his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include; his wife, Virginia Lee Thompson; his mother, Betty Taylor of Frenchburg; his father, Larry Thompson (Priscilla) of Mt. Sterling; one sister, Jodi Morrison of Jeffersonville; his grandmothers, Mary Peck of Frenchburg and Elizabeth Witt of Mt. Sterling; one niece, Jessica Wells; one great nephew, Brayden Wells; and one great niece, Avery Wells.

He was preceded in death by a son, Waylon Wayne Thompson.

Funeral will be Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at 1:30PM at Queen Street Christian Fellowship. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 6:00PM to 9:00PM at Queen Street Christian Fellowship. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Robbie Conn will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Benny Johnson, Steven Johnson, Joe Thompson, Bob Peck, Tommy Ingram, and Larry Peck.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jeremy Johnson, Benny "Buck" Johnson, Gary Thompson, Wendell Sparks, and Rick Witt.
