Robert "Robbie" Clyde Reeves

Robert "Robbie" Clyde Reeves, 66, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born November 9, 1946 in Salt Lick to James William "JW" Reeves and the late Ina Caudill Reeves.

Robbie was a native of Bath County where he attended local schools and graduated from Bath County High School. He attended Morehead State University and went on to serve in the United States Army Reserve. He owned and operated Midland Marine in Midland for over 20 years. He later moved to Richmond and settled in Montgomery County in 2006. He was a big UK Basketball fan but most will remember his passion for drag boat racing. Robbie had a special relationship with his sons, Tyler and Blake, who will remember him as their hero. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include; two sons, Robert Tyler Reeves and Spencer Blake Reeves (Alecia) both of Mt. Sterling; his father, James William "JW" Reeves of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Jimmy Russell Reeves (Connie) of Salt Lick; one sister, Jan Reeves Ray (Starkey) of Mt. Sterling; two grandchildren, Aubrey Brinae` Reeves of Richmond and Christopher Blake Reeves of Mt. Sterling; three nephews, Brent Reeves (Natalia) of Westminster, California, Barry Reeves of Lexington, and Michael Ray (Amy) of Lexington.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Lou Reeves.
