Roger Glen Allen

Roger Glen Allen, 69, of Wellington, died Thursday, October 25, 2019 at his residence.  He was born on April 18, 1950 in Grundy, VA to the late Roy Allen and Margaret Estep Allen Greer.

Roger was of the Christian faith and a former coal miner.  He moved to Menifee County upon retiring twenty years ago.  Roger was the owner/operator of Roger's Body Shop in Hurley, VA.  He enjoyed anything to do with computers and being outdoors, trees and other wildlife, taking care of his garden, watching NASCAR and riding motorcycles.  Roger loved his friends and family and they will miss him dearly.

He is survived by one son, Eric Allen (Nicole) of Morehead; two sisters, Bonnie Finney (Howard) and Brenda McClanahan both of Lebanon, VA; two close friends Richard Dotson (Betty) and Gary Dotson (Leanne) both of Menifee County and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents Roy Allen and Margaret Estep.

Memorial Service will be Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 7:00PM.  Visitation will be prior from 6:00PM-7:00PM, services at the New Beginning In Jesus Name in Hurley, Virginia.  Pastor Wilburn Dotson, David Cline and Larry Hurley will be officiating.
