Ronald Earl Ginter

December 19, 1946 — May 7, 2012

Ronald Earl Ginter, 65, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday morning at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born December 19, 1946 in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky to the late Sam and Anna Ginter.

Ronald was a Montgomery County native and was a United States Army Veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Ronald enjoyed riding motorcycles, UK basketball, westerns, farming, animals, the outdoors and camping. He was retired from Hobart and East Kentucky Power and a graduate from Mt. Sterling High School in 1966. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include; his wife of 20 years Linda Ginter of Mt. Sterling; four sons, Charles Reed (Sally) of Jeffersonville, Kevin Ginter of Mt. Sterling, Scott Fouch of Frenchburg, John Ginter (Amy) of Jeffersonville; three daughters, Ronnetta Manning (Donald) of Mt. Sterling, Sandy Jones (Gary) of Mt. Sterling, Jessica Fouch of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Kenneth Ginter (Geraldine) of Lynn, Indiana; six sisters, Margaret Robbins of Mt. Sterling, Jane Prather of Mt. Sterling, Barbara Smith (Okie) of Lexington, Mary Warren of Middletown, Ohio, Nancy Welch of Mt. Sterling and Linda Alfrey of Mt. Sterling and twelve grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Robert T. Ginter and four sisters, Hildred Haney, Beulah Thomas, Louise Cockrell and Virginia Bolen.

Funeral service will be Friday, May 11, 2012 at 1:00PM. Visitation will be Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, all services will be at the First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Machpelah Cemetery. Bro. Dan Murphy will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Tom Sands, Jesse Sands, Dwain Ginter, Andrew Burton, Logan Duty and Larry Leadingham.
