Roy Clay Hudson, Jr., 57, of Lexington, died Thursday afternoon, June 9, 2016 at Clark County Regional Medical Center in Winchester. He was born March 26, 1959 in Mt. Sterling to Roy, Sr. and Betty Carpenter Hudson.
Roy was a self employed horse trainer, past member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Midway and a graduate from Woodford County High School. Roy loved spending time at the race track and being around horses, but most of all, taking care of people and his family. He enjoyed the outdoors; hiking and camping and he was also a fan of UK basketball and drag racing. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Jason Hudson (Brittany) of Lexington; two daughters, Heather Hudson-Adkins and Jillian Ashcraft (Edward Barko), both of Lexington; his father, Roy Hudson, Sr. of Owenton; six grandchildren, Taylor Adkins, Tim Adkins, Conner Claypool, Seth Hall, Austin Hall, all of Lexington and Braiden Bailey of Richmond; special friend, Debbie Hall of Winchester.
