Ruby Lou Lawrence, 81, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, October 20, 2018 at her daughters residence in Winchester. She was born August 12, 1937 in Mt. Sterling to the late William and Hazel Donaldson.
Ruby was a native and proud member of Rolling Hills Church of Christ. Her interest included the "secret pals" program with her church family, traveling, reading, gardening and UK Basketball. Ruby loved spending time with her family and cooking for them. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; one daughter; Margie Hall of Winchester; one brother, Raymond Donaldson (Jeanette) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Vandetta Stamper of North Carolina and Nelda Corman (Bill) of Georgetown; nine grandchildren, Jeremy Lykins (Danielle) of Jeffersonville, Amy Ginter (John) of Jeffersonville, Lisa Losh (Jamie) of Winchester, Jeff Hall of Winchester, Laura Garcia (Saul) of Texas, Amanda Streitmatter (Scott) of Oklahoma , Katie Muniz, Jesse Muniz, Heather Commons and Mathew Muniz, all of Texas; nineteen great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband Edward Lawrence, daughter Barbara Muniz and brother Jackie Donaldson.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to Rolling Hills Church Camp or Bluegrass Hospice.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Monday, October 29, 2018 at 1:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 12:00PM-1:00PM. Both will be at Rolling Hills Church of Christ. Committal will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Danny Murphy and Eddie Ingram will be officiating.
