Savannah Paige Smith, 16, of Jeffersonville, died Thursday morning, March 23, 2017 in an automobile accident. She was born October 12, 2000 in Lexington to William "Junior" and Tammy Stamper Smith.
Savannah moved to Montgomery County in 2010 from Booneville, she was a sophomore at Montgomery County High School and a member of Living Water Church. Savannah loved all types of music and played trumpet in the various high school bands; jazz, marching, wind ensemble and symphony. She had a big hearted personality, she hurt for others when they hurt. She loved to laugh and also make others laugh as well. Savannah also wanted to experience everything, be a part of everything and volunteered trumpet lessons with younger kids. She will be dearly missed by her family, church family, band family and friends.
Survivors include; her parents, William "Junior" Smith, Jr. and Tammy Stamper Smith of Jeffersonville; one sister, Cheyenne Smith of Jeffersonville; paternal grandparents, Wendell and Oneida Stepp of Winchester; maternal grandparents, Larry and Louise Morrison of Jeffersonville; one aunt, Amanda Sain (Dennis) of Mt. Sterling; four cousins, Jasmine Brady of Lexington, Trey Brady of Mt. Sterling, Savannah Sain of Mt. Sterling and Christian Sain of Morehead.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Dennis and Helen Stamper and Betty Lou Stepp; two uncles, Brandon Morrison and Aaron Stamper.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Montgomery County Band Boosters, PO Box 448, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.
Celebration of Life Memorial service will be Thursday, March 30, 2017 at 7:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 5:00PM to 7:00PM at the Living Water Church. Rev. Larry Morrison and Pastor Grant Cannoy will be officiating.
