Shane Davis, 43, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, July 14, 2014 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born April 23, 1971 in Hindman to Bobby and Lettie Ison Davis.
Shane lived most of his life in Montgomery County; he played varsity football while attending Montgomery County High School and graduated in 1990. Following graduation, he honorably served in the United States Army in Kuwait during the Gulf War. He later spent 10 years in Lake Panasoffkee, Florida where he worked construction. Shane was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed water skiing, hunting, fishing, and was an avid UK fan. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Shane is survived by his parents, Bobby and Lettie Ison Davis of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Justin Davis (Denise) of Mt. Sterling; maternal grandmother, Louise Draughn of Mt. Sterling; aunts, Suzanne Smith and Donna Jane Ison both of Lexington; uncle, Donnie Ison of Lexington; nephew, Jarhett Quinn Davis of Mt. Sterling; a host of cousins; a new special friend, Tina; his dog, Jagger.
