Sherman Lee Anderson, Sr.

January 28, 1946 — May 24, 2021

Sherman Lee Anderson, Sr., 75, of Mount Sterling, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at VA Healthcare, Lexington, Kentucky.  Sherman was born in Montgomery County on January 28, 1946.

Sherman was a Montgomery County native, was a member of First Church of God, Jeffersonville, KY, and previously employed at Ross Drugs.  He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps.  He enjoyed; vegetable and flower gardening, maintaining his yard, woodworking, model trains, singing in the church choir, spoiling his granddaughters and spending time with his family.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife of thirty-nine years; Mary Webster Anderson; four loving children; Stephanie Francis (Paul) of Richmond, Sherman Anderson, Jr. (Mary) of Anaconda, Montana, Ovie Webster (Samantha) of McGregor, Texas and Roianna Webster of Mt. Sterling; five adoring grandchildren; Becca Webster, Michael Anderson, Ryder Anderson, Lexie Beadle and Charlotte Webster; one brother; James Means (Dessie) of Mt. Sterling; one sister; Margaret Ashley of Winchester.

Sherman was preceded in death by his two brothers; Robert Means and Danny Means.

Funeral Service for Sherman Anderson will be held on Thursday, May 27,  2021 at 11:30AM, Visitation will be prior from 9:30AM - 11:30AM.  Both will be held at First Church Of God, Mt. Sterling, KY.   Pastor David Dooley will be officiating.  Committal will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY.

Pallbearers: Jerry Stephens, Michael Adams, Charles Conkright, Shelby Becraft, Paul Francis and Chris Davis.
