Shirley Ann Taulbee Patrick, 82, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, May 10, 2020 at her daughters residence in Powell County. She was born in Pomeroyton on April 10, 1938 to the late Sewell and Ora Agee Taulbee.
Shirley was of the Christian faith and retired from Jockey International. She enjoyed her garden, especially flowers and was a lifelong UK Basketball fan. Shirley was a talented cook, raised a large family and was always ready to prepare a meal for them and enjoy the time they had together. Her friends and family will miss her dearly.
She is survived by two sons, Billy Patrick (Kym) of Winchester and Ronnie Patrick (Barb) of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Marcia Cooksey (Melvin) of Stanton and Donna Patrick of Mt. Sterling; twelve grandchildren, Jason Charles (Rebekah) of Camargo, Jacqueline Meadows (Travis) of Stanton, Jessica Bellot of Jeffersonville, Kim Hudson (J.D) of Mt. Sterling, Sean Jordan of North Carolina, Lauren Mudd of Lexington, Ryan Jordan (Kimberly) of Winchester, Kara Bork (Jeremy) of Florida and Katie Cooksey (Bryan), Barbi Cooksey (Matt), Brandi Cooksey and Brandon Cooksey (Amanda) all of Ohio; thirty great grandchildren, one brother, Larry Taulbee (Carol) of Mt. Sterling; special friend Shirley Reffitt of Jeffersonville and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Denzil Taulbee and Osa Taulbee and two sisters, Gladys Hargis and Marie Peyton.
