Stephen Clay Goldey, 56, of Jeffersonville died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at UK Hospital in Lexington. He was born on December 31, 1962 to the late Alvin Goldey and Mable Willoughby Green.
Stephen was a native of Montgomery County and a talented artist. He was very creative and loved sketching, drawing and painting. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Although Stephen was a man of few words, he said what he meant and loved his family. His friends and family will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melinda Bush Goldey of Jeffersonville; two daughters, Samantha Goldey (Stanley Flinchum) of Jeffersonville and Kyra Murphy also of Jeffersonville; two grandchildren Mckenzie Dunn and Anthony Denniston, Jr. both of Jeffersonville; one sister, Trina Bishop of Mt. Sterling; step parents Janet Compton Goldey of Camargo and Fred Greene of Mt. Sterling; mother-in-law Delores Bush of Mt. Sterling; nieces, Tabitha Bishop and Micaiah Bishop both of Lexington; nephew, Jerry Murphy, Jr. (Ashleigh Clark) of Jeffersonville and great niece Kaia Murphy of Jeffersonville.
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by one daughter, Amanda Goldey.
