Susan Marie (Rempfer) Roberts

Susan Marie Rempfer Roberts, 70, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday, January 19, 2017 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born November 12, 1946 in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Cletus and Ruth Frolicher Rempfer.

Susan graduated high school from Notre Dame Academy in Toledo, Ohio.  She was an active member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church where she taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, served, lectured and helped whenever need for many years.  Susan was currently a cashier at Wal-Mart and previously a co-owner of Eastland Grocery.  She enjoyed talking with people, sharing stories and working in her flower garden.  She will be dearly missed by her family, church family and friends.

Survivors include; two sons, Ret. Captain Robert Laskey (Ret. Lt. Col. Deenie) of Lexington and Donald Laskey, Sr. (Kathy) of Winchester; two daughters, Laura Fraley (Wendell) and Anne Marie Ferguson (Alexandre), both of Mt. Sterling; ten grandchildren, David Laskey, Joseph Laskey, Amanda Roark (Andrew), Megan Robinson (Major Daniel), Captain Donald "Buddy" Laskey, Jr. (Heather Critelli), Christopher Fraley, Alex Fraley, Matthew Kidwell, Isabella Kidwell and Violet Ferguson; eight great grandchildren, Aden Roark, Addison Roark, Lucas Robinson, Gavin Robinson, Abram Robinson, Donovan DeAngelo, Willow Sabelle and Jack Sabelle; one sister, Andrea Zucchero (James) of Cincinnati; three cousins and two nieces.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations to be made to the St. Patrick Church, 139 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.

Memorial will be Monday, January 23, 2017 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, all will be at the St. Patrick Catholic Church.
