Susie Mae Reed

Susie Mae Banks Reed, 72, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday evening, October 29, 2012 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1940 in Jeffersonville to the late Everett and Amanda Esteppe Banks.

Susie was a Montgomery County native, a believer in Jesus Christ and worshiped at Assemblies of God. She was previously employed at Trojan Manufacturing and was part owner and manager at Mom's Ice Cream Corner in Jeffersonville. Susie loved to travel, fish, and spend time with her family.

Survivors include; one son, David Reed (Schuy Roop) of Richmond; one daughter, Connie Williamson (Robert) of Prichard, West Virginia; one grandson, Joel Reed of Rockville, Maryland; one granddaughter, Shaunna Stockdale (Adam Patton) of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, William Banks (Wanda) of Richmond and Wayne Banks (Millie) of Springboro, Ohio.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Clay Reed.

Funeral will be Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11:00AM at the Christian Assembly of God. Visitation will be Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Christian Assembly of God. Burial will follow the funeral in Spruce Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Pastor Jim Wells will be officiating.

Pallbearers: Carson Brooks, Dan Banks, Charlie Tyra, Ian Eldridge, Doug Liggett, Joe Reed, Justin Reed, and Mike Donathan.

Honorary Pallbearer: Bob Banks, Randy Reed, Glenn Liggett, Keith Brooks, Lawrence "Tiger" Tyra, and Denny Esteppe.
