Torie Jewell Martin, 37, of Winchester, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her mother's residence. She was born July 27, 1976 in Mt. Sterling to the late John "Snorky" Martin and Kathy Coffey.
Torie graduated from Montgomery County High School and was a student at Eastern Kentucky University when she had a life changing car accident in 1994. Torie had an outgoing personality; she loved to shop and dress up, but her favorite passion was riding and working with horses. Torie will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; her mother, Kathy Coffey (her step father, Pablo Ramirez) of Winchester; one sister, Jessica Martin of Jeffersonville; two nephews, Isaiah Moore and Treavor Smith, both of Winchester; numerous uncles, aunts and cousins and a special friend, Amanda Ramires of Winchester.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her beloved uncle, Harold Pitts.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to; Hospice East, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, Kentucky 40391 and the Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund, P.O. Box 803, Elmhurst, Illinois 60126.
