Tracy Ward Triplett, 50, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. He was born on May 4, 1968 to Eunice Bayes Quinn and the late Herbert Triplett.
Tracy was a member of Spring Street Baptist Church and enjoyed teaching the game golf to aspiring professionals. As an assistant pro at Boynton Beach Municipal Golf Course and Del-Aire Country Club in Florida Tracy had several students realize their dreams of turning professional and becoming tour caliper players. He moved back to Mt. Sterling ten years ago where he passed on his love for the game to local youth including MCHS Golf. Tracy's memory will live on with his students and he will be dearly missed by friends and family.
He is survived by his son Hogan Lee Triplett of Pinehurst, NC; mother Eunice Bayes Quinn (Charles) of Leesburg, FL; brother Herby Triplett of Mt. Sterling; aunt Nicki Coyle of Eustis, FL; uncle Roy Edward Bayes of Eustis, FL; step mother Hilogene Triplett of Citra, FL and several cousins.
Tracy is preceded in death by his father Herbert Triplett.
Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 12:00PM. Visitation will be from 10:30AM-12:00PM, both will take place at Spring Street Baptist Church. Pastor Larry Robinson will officiate.
The first annual Tracy Triplett Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 9:00AM at Indian Creek Golf Course in Mt. Sterling. Proceeds to benefit scholarship's for MCHS boy's and girl's golf.
