Vanessa Jean Towsend Carmichael

Vanessa Jean Carmichael, 51, passed away on September 8, 2024, at UK Medical Center. Born in Lexington on October 16, 1972. Vanessa was known for her vibrant personality and love for the outdoors. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting, as well as showcasing her culinary skills in the kitchen. 

 Vanessa's true joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, showering them with love and laughter. Her fiery spirit and zest for life were contagious, leaving a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known her. 

 She leaves behind her devoted husband Jeffrey Carmichael; her loving parents Robert and Linda Townsend; her children, Tiffany Sullivan, Aaron Carmichael and Regina Carmichael; grandchildren, Llayton Roberts, Maggie Parsons, and Van Smith; sister, Veronica Robinson (Steven) and a host of family and friends who will deeply miss her presence. Vanessa's passing has left a void in the hearts of many, but her memory will remain eternally cherished. 

Vanessa was preceded in death by her son, Jason Smith. 

Graveside Visitation will be Thursday, September 12, 2024 from 5:00pm to 6:00pm with the Graveside Memorial following at 6:00pm at Old Springfield Cemetery, 3491 Springfield Road, Owingsville, KY 40360. Bro. Jerry Carmichael will be officiating. 

 In the midst of our sorrow, let us find solace in the memories we shared with Vanessa and the impact she made on each of our lives. May her spirit continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
