Vernon Wilbor Rice

Vernon Wilbor Rice 80, of Paris, died Tuesday afternoon, September 25, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. He was born October 5, 1931 in Georgetown to the late Offie and Sally Floyd Rice.
Vernon moved to Paris from Georgetown two years ago. He was a Navy Veteran and a farmer. He had a love for horses and John Wayne movies. Vernon will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, David Austin Rice of Fort Smith, Arkansas; four daughters, Victoria Talbott (George) of Winchester, Sandi Gross (J.R.) of Lexington, Libby Powell of Lexington, and Margaret Ann Whitlock of Stamping Ground; two sisters, Helen Thomas and Juanita Lee (Estill) both of Georgetown; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Willhoite, Dawayne Jones, and Josh Willoughby; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and a best friend, Wanda K. Rice.
