Violet Faye Elliott

Violet Faye Martin Elliott, 81, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born in Mount Sterling KY on May 24th, 1943, to the late Ed and Elsie Martin. A longtime member of Eastland Church of God, Violet was a strong, faithful Christian. She helped lead many to Christ by sharing His love and message. 

There isn’t a flower, plant, bush, or tree she couldn’t name or tell you how to take care of. She was a shelter of love and comfort for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her kitchen table was known to serve some of the best cooking in the county. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her. 

Survivors include her daughter Pam (Tony) Wynn, Son Glenn (Donna) Elliott, Daughter-in- law Sherry Elliott, sister Pearl Lewis, brothers-in-law Morris Baker and Hearl Covey, sisters-in-law Bonnie Watkins, Bertie Elliott and Rosa Elliott.

She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren, Misty (Paul) Taylor, Erin (John) Carter, Blake Elliott, Jessica (Shane) Smith, Tiffany (Chad) Conway, Olivia Gronlund, Kelsie (Tarya) Risner, Christina (Andy) Huber. 

She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and special friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Ivan Elliott, her son Blake Elliott, sisters Margaret Covey and Dora Skidmore and great grandchildren Brooklynn Taylor, Arika Gronlund, Evan Elliott and many special brother and sisters-in-law. 

Pallbearers will be Chad Conway, DL Gronlund, John Carter, Bryce Taylor, Kelsie Risner and Blake Elliott.

Honorary Pallbearers are Paul Taylor, Tony Wynn, Sandy Walters, Donna Patton, Bonnie O’Hair, Martha Goldy, Rose Hendrix, Lisa Bowman, many special nieces and nephews and her Eastland Church of God family.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 26th, 1:00PM at Eastland Church of God led by Pastor James Hendrix. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM with funeral following at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at Lovely-Amburgey Cemetery.
