Wendell Corey

Wendell Corey, 71, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday,  February 20, 2021, at Clark Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Mt. Sterling on January 15, 1950 to the late Clay and Ada Pergram Corey.

Wendell was a Montgomery County native, of the Christian faith and a tool and die operator.  He enjoyed; fishing, cooking, watching westerns, UK basketball and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Wendell is survived by three children, Peggy Segura (Eugene) of Winchester, Stevie Corey (Andrea) and Stephanie Hall (Kevin), both of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Corey of Winchester; three sisters, Betty Spencer (JR), Linda Williams (Larry) and Wanda Jackson, all of Mt. Sterling; close friend, Lori Lykins of Mt. Sterling.

In addition to his parents, Wendell was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Corey, Buster Corey, Russell Corey and George Corey and three sisters, Christine Corey, Mary Corey and Alma McGuire.
