William Reynolds Watkin

August 31, 2015 — December 2, 1965

William "Wild Will" Reynolds Watkins, Jr., 48, of Carlisle, died Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at his residence. He was born December 2, 1965 in Carlisle to the late William Reynolds Watkins, Sr. and Helen Joyce Davis Watkins.

Willie worked most of his life in the masonry and tobacco farming industry and was a longtime member of the CCC (Carlisle Clutch Crew). He had an outgoing personality, never meeting a stranger. Many will remember him as someone who enjoyed life and being the life of the party, but most of all Willie will be remembered for his big, kind heart of gold. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include; his three children, Jessica McFarland, Derek McFarland and Stephanie McFarland all of Newport; three brothers, Jackie Davis (Susie Myers), Danny Watkins (Linda) and John Watkins (Kathy Morris) all of Carlisle; three sisters, Lisa Hughes (Harold Leonard), Patty Trussell (Terry) and Anita "Sue" Watkins all of Carlisle; two granddaughters, Haley and Rylie both of Newport; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Philip Hunt and Darrel "Bill-Bill" Finch both of Carlisle.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Natalie McDonald and Carmella Watkins.

A Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 6, 2014 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Carlisle Depot. A scattering ceremony will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 2:00PM at the Sandbar in Milltown.
