William "Bill" Woodford Bashford, 87, of Winchester, Kentucky passed away Sunday evening, September 19, 2021 St. Joseph hospital, Lexington. He was born in Montgomery County, Kentucky on December 25, 1933 to the late Otha and Alma Wilson Bashford.
Bill was a Montgomery County Native and a member of Mt. Sterling First Church of God and Liberty Bible Church of God, Winchester. Bill was a graduate of Mt. Sterling High School and attended Georgetown College and Anderson University, Anderson, Indiana. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and retired from Columbia Gas Company of Kentucky. He was an avid U.K. sports fan and Kentucky colonel. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his loving wife; Imogene Holley Bashford; step-daughter; Bemedji Asher (Ben); step-grandsons; Chase Asher, Jake Cruse and Jesse Cruse; nephews; Ralph Bashford, Kenneth Bashford, Gary Bashford, Andrew Bashford, Tom Bashford, Greg Bashford, Charles Bashford and Glenn Foley; nieces; Karen Goodrich and Alice Wittenback; numerous cousins, friends and church family.
In addition to his parents Bill was preceded in death by step-son; Floyd "Buddy" Cruse II; brothers; Paul Bashford, Ralph Bashford and Charles Bashford; sister; Virginia Doyle; niece; Kathy Foley Jones.
Funeral service will be at 1:00PM, Thursday, September 23, 2021, visitation will be prior from 11:00AM - 1:00PM, both will be held at the First Church of God, Mt. Sterling. Committal will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Jeff Perkins and Pastor Frank Curtis will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to First Church of God Mt. Sterling, 1051 Camargo Road, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353 or Liberty Bible Church of God Building Fund, 1619 Bypass Road, Winchester, KY 40391.

Honorary Pallbearers: Ben Asher, Joe Hisle, Raymond Stephens, John Lambert, Robert Spence, Anthony Molihan, Jerry Owens, Danny Manley, Charlie McVey, Bill Calvert, David Goodpastor and Hayluard Baker.
