William "Bill" Thomas Chamness, 64, of Winchester, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 11, 2022 at University of Kentucky Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 6, 1958 in Ashland, Kentucky to the late Earle, Jr. and Betty Forsythe Chamness.
Bill was a resident of Winchester following his move from Mt. Sterling four years ago. He was a member of Southland Christian Church, Lexington and a retired salesman with Critchfield Meats. He had a larger than life personality, loved helping and being around people. He enjoyed; UK basketball and football, cooking and spending time near water, whether that was at a pool, beach or on a boat. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bill is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Jan Wingate Chamness of Winchester; cherished children; David Chamness (Abby) of Winchester and Liz Combs (Ben) of Lexington; brother; David Chamness (Deanna Osborne) of Ft. Collins, Colorado.
Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Monday, August 15, 2022 from 1:00PM - 4:00PM at Lou's at Irish Hills Golf Course. Master of Ceremonies will be Bryan Begley.
