William "Bill" Prentice Messer, 49, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday Morning, July 18, 2013 in Jeffersonville, Indiana while visiting his mother. He was born in Lexington on September 10, 1963 to Henry "Buddy" Messer and Phyllis Wright Berryman.
Bill was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, a 1981 graduate of Montgomery County High School, and a graduate of Morehead State University where he earned an electrical degree. He was a long time sales representative for Brown's Food Service in Louisa and a member of the First Christian Church. Bill was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed going to the races. He was also a passionate UK Football and Basketball fan who will be missed by many.
Survivors include; a son, William "Will" Jarrett Messer of Mt. Sterling; his parents, Buddy Messer (Frances) of Mt. Sterling and Phyllis Berryman (Melvin) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; one sister, Robbin Messer King (Lowell) of Mt. Sterling.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations may be made in his memory: Gateway Christian Church, 801 Winchester Rd., Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
Pallbearers: Phillip Sorrell, Jason McCormick, Billy Salisbury, Glenn Sorrell, Greg Arrasmith, and Carter Cornett.
Honorary Pallbearers: Johnny Jackson and Dan Rhodes.
